Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026 · Effective immediately
NG+ ("we", "our", "us") is a game tracking and social journaling app available on web and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
By using NG+, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
- Account data — email address and password (stored encrypted via Supabase Auth) when you register. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Profile data — username, display name, bio, and profile photo you choose to set.
- Game activity — games you log, diary entries, ratings, written reviews, hours played, play status, and platinum achievements.
- Social activity — follows, likes, comments, direct messages, and playlists you create or share.
- Uploaded media — screenshots and voice notes you choose to attach to entries.
- Purchase data — if you purchase Platinum, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation of the purchase (not your full payment details) and store your supporter status.
- Push notification tokens — only when you explicitly enable notifications.
- Basic device info — platform (Android/web), used for debugging purposes only.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- To display your profile, activity, and game library to you and (where public) to other users.
- To enable social features — follows, comments, likes, and messaging.
- To send push notifications about activity relevant to you (only when enabled).
- To verify and activate Platinum supporter status after a purchase.
- To diagnose bugs and improve performance.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.
What's Public vs. Private
- Public by default — your username, display name, profile photo, game logs, reviews, and public playlists are visible to all users.
- Private — your email address, direct messages, and private playlists are never visible to other users.
- Your choice — you can set playlists to private at any time from within the app.
In-App Purchases
NG+ offers a one-time Platinum supporter purchase processed through Google Play Billing. We do not store or have access to your credit card or payment information — all payment processing is handled by Google. We only receive a confirmation that a purchase was completed, which we use to activate your Platinum status.
For refund requests, please contact Google Play support directly.
Third-Party Services
We use the following services which may process your data under their own privacy policies:
Supabase — database, authentication, file storage
Google Play Billing — in-app purchase processing
Google OAuth — optional sign-in with Google
Google AdMob — rewarded video ads. AdMob may collect your Android Advertising ID (GAID) and device information to serve ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google → Ads.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — push notification delivery. FCM processes a device token to route notifications to your device.
RevenueCat — in-app purchase management and receipt validation. RevenueCat receives purchase confirmation and subscription status; it does not store your payment details.
IGDB / Twitch — game metadata and cover images
Vercel — web app hosting
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure (AWS — Asia Pacific, Seoul region). We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorized to see. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days. Some anonymized or aggregate data may be retained for service improvement.
User-Generated Content & Community Standards
